The MINI 'Present' Box
It’s a familiar sight at this time of the year. Rubbish bags piled up at the side of the road (look out – they’ll fine you) surrounded by packaging from Christmas gifts. And most of us don’t give a second glance.
One of the most interesting pieces of work shown at the recent Milan Design Week was 'The Dwelling Lab', collaboration between BMW, Flos Lighting and Kvadrat fabrics. Artists Patricia Urquiola and Guilio Ridolfo were commissioned to effectively turn a BMW 5 Series GT inside out. The car is 'exploded' - with five giant cone-like structures growing out of the windscreen, door openings etc.
MOST Londoners believe congestion is going to worsen in their city over the next five years. However they are heavily divided on the best way of beating the jams, according to a YouGov survey for business group London First. As many as 40% of the 1,055 adults polled said congestion would increase a lot, while 38% believed it would increase a little.
